Independence
The rain cleared on this year’s Independence Day celebration long enough for me to spend some time wandering the Mall before the fireworks. While it was raining, I caught Spider-Man 2 on a big screen.

Except for the firworks and the concert on the steps of the Capitol, you'd hardly know it was supposed to be a Fourth of July celebration. Instead the Mall was plastered with tents that lent support to the signs proclaiming the Smithsonian Folk Festival. What the? Yes,
Spider-Man 2
A good movie, but certainly not as good as many people think.
It certainly wasn’t as good as the Bourne Identity. I was pretty happy to see that the sequel is coming out at the end of this month. I don’t want to get my hopes up too much. The first Bourne movie was fantastic, but the mystery (Who is Jason Bourne?) and the surprise and suspence that went with it was one of the movie’s biggest assets. Now that the mystery is gone—I don’t know if the Bourne Surpremecy can possibly repeat.
