Air show!
I saw an air show on Saturday with my parents, including the Blue Angels.
Went to the Schenectady County air show on Saturday. It ruled. I love airplanes. The speed, the noise, the turning, the burning, and everything else about them. And if you like airplanes air show are where it's at. So, I was in my element.
There were a bunch of cool performances. The Iron Eagles, a pair flying Super Eagle II's put on a good show. A Russian pilot, Nikoli, flew a Su-26M and made that plane do things I didn't think possible. Another soloist, an American, flew a French KAP and was also very impressive. An F-16 put the moves on for a bit, at one point traveling at 700 mph (nearly the speed of sound) and then going vertical with incredible speed. An F-117 made a few passes and showed off it's lines. There was an A-10 demonstration with pyrotechnics that was very intimidating. Finally, the Blue Angels put on an amazing show, with their incredibly precise flying and tight formations. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend seeing them.
Wandered around a bit checking out some of the aircraft on display. Including the Bert Rutan VariEze a plane that my Uncle just acquired. All in all it was well worth the wait in traffic.
Today, Sunday, was a day of new life. A pair of birds decided, as they do every year, to build their nest in my mother's front door wreath. Their chick's just hatched today so I'll have to remember to use the back door.
Read some more Hawkings and watched the movie K-PAX. I'm really beginning to feel that there are serious problems with current theories. Unfortunately, I've much more work to do before I have anywhere near the understanding I'll require if I'm to make a contribution.
I dunno. Do you think I'm a nexus personality? Do you think you are?
