Car Hunt
The car hunt continues.
So things are getting down to the wire on this car thingy. I really need to get one in the next few days. CarsDirect had some trouble with their dealer so I had to cancel that order. I was pretty happy with their rep, David Arnold. It's a shame they don't have a better dealer to work with.
I've changed what I'm getting for options around a bit since we started. The good news is that what I've settled on is available from several area dealers and is cheaper. I'm now going for a manual with only the cold weather package (heated seats, washer nozzles, and mirrors). I plan to add a few things to it later on, like 17" alloy wheels, a better exhaust system, and maybe a better sound system. But, that's a ways off. And only if I'm a Good BoyTM.
So now I need to make a quick visit to some local dealers. I'm swinging by one tomorrow morning on the way to my grandmother's house. Should be rather exciting.
I've put some graduation pictures up. They pictures were taken with my mother's digital camera. Unfortunately, they were taken with manual focus on (unknowingly) so most were horrible. The few that were decent are posted.
Thomas Claburn has a great interview with Jack Scalfani of FightCloud.com. FightCloud.com is a promotional website for artists that gives away CDs. This Jack guy has some cool views on the business model of the big labels and the future of music in general, especially some good stuff on XM Radio. A good read, check it out.
I've been reading Stephen Hawking's The Universe in a Nutshell in an attempt to remember much of what I've forgotten about the universe and get some new ideas. So far it's ok: decent explainations peppered with Hawking's odd humor. I am looking forward to the later chapters.

Read my Slashdot posts and see me get all worked up over stuff.
- There are not enough cool people to make spaceships yet.
- I strongly dislike it when people bash Americans for no good reason. And get their facts so utterly screwed up and out of perspective.
